Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account details. Your email address, and your name when your sign-in provider shares it. SaveSet supports Sign in with Apple, Google, Facebook, and email plus password. An account is required to use the app.
• Workout and fitness data. The workouts you save, their exercises, sets, reps, loads, and completion history, plus scheduling and streak information.
• Health and body metrics. Body weight and related measurements you enter, and — only if you grant permission — data read from or written to Apple Health.
• Images you scan. Photos you capture or choose for scanning, and images or links you send through the share extension.
• Device identifiers. A push notification token, if you enable notifications, so we can deliver them.

How scanning works

When you scan a workout, the image is resized on your device and uploaded over HTTPS to our servers, where text recognition extracts the words and an AI model parses them into exercises and sets. The parsed result comes back for you to review and edit before it saves.

The same applies to Instagram and TikTok imports: the link is sent to our servers, which fetch the post and parse its caption. We process the caption text, not your social account — SaveSet never asks for your social login and cannot see your private activity on those platforms.

Where your data lives

Workouts are written to an encrypted SQLite database on your iPhone first, so the app works with no signal. When you are online, that data syncs to our backend, which runs on Amazon Web Services in the United States, so your history is available if you change devices.

Authentication tokens are stored in the iOS Keychain, restricted to your unlocked device. All network traffic uses HTTPS.

Who else is involved

SaveSet relies on a small number of service providers, which process data on our behalf and not for their own purposes:

• Amazon Web Services — hosting, storage, and text recognition for scanned images.
• Anthropic — the AI models that parse workout text and generate workouts from prompts.
• Apple, Google, and Meta — only for the sign-in method you choose, and Apple for subscription billing.
• Stripe — billing for subscriptions started on the web rather than through the App Store.

Your choices

• Delete your account. Settings → Account → Delete Account removes your account and its associated data from our servers. This cannot be undone.
• Export your data. You can export your workout history to JSON or CSV from within the app.
• Permissions. Camera, photo library, Apple Health, and notification access are each optional and requested only when you first use the feature that needs them. You can revoke any of them in iOS Settings.
• Access or correction. Email us and we will help you get a copy of your data or fix something that is wrong.

Data retention

We keep your account data while your account exists. When you delete your account, the associated records are removed from our production systems; residual copies may persist in encrypted backups for a limited period before being overwritten.

Children

SaveSet is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that materially affects how your data is handled, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
